Websites like ThemeForest and WrapBootstrap sell themes for WordPress and other CMSs. Mezzanine has no equivalent. To fill that gap, MEZZaTHEME was created. MEZZaTHEME is a marketplace for Mezzanine themes.
Development goals implemented:
- Payment via Stripe was integrated directly with theme detail pages, keeping the clicks required to make a purchase to a minimum.
- Theme downloads are secured so that only theme purchasers can download a theme, and then only a limited number of times
- Theme previews can be uploaded as a zip file (which is then extracted and made available for viewing) or hosted offsite
- A backend for handling themes, theme purchases and various types of licenses, with individual prices and allowed download
